RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW On Amendments to Article 24 of the Federal Act on Military Duty and Military Service
and Article 50 of the Russian Federation Act " Education " Adopted by the State Duma on 25 January 2002 Approved by the Federation Council on 30 January 2002 (In the wording of Federal Law dated 06.07.2006 N 104-FZ Article 1. Subparagraph 2 (a) of article 24, paragraph 2, of the Federal Act No. Russian Federation, 1998, 1475; N 30, est. 3613) Amend the following wording: " (a) face-to-face training in: State, municipal or State-accredited non-State educational institutions of basic general and secondary education; (total) general education, for the duration of the study, but until the said citizens of the age of 20; State, municipal or State-accredited accreditation in the respective areas of training (specializations) Non-State educational institutions for the Vocational, secondary vocational and higher vocational education, but not more than the normative time frame for the delivery of basic education programmes. The right to receive a stay of professional education under this subparagraph shall be reserved for citizens if they are re-enlisted at the same level (under The conditions for their education not more than three years in the previous educational institution at the same level) or for the single transfer to the educational institution of the same level, as well as in the case of their single use of academic leave. The right under this subparagraph to be deferred to military service shall not apply to citizens who have been removed from educational institutions for violation of their charters or internal regulations.
Citizens are entitled to take advantage of this subparagraph by defering from military service no more than two times (for obtaining an education of this and higher level); ". Article 2. Invite the President of the Russian Federation and instruct the Government of the Russian Federation to bring its normative legal acts into conformity with this Federal Law. Article 4.
