In accordance with § 9 of the Rules of Procedure of the Federal Government, I would like to take effect from 1 January 2005:

1.

The Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media will be appointed:

a)

the responsibility for the Federal Commissioner for the documents of the State Security Service of the former German Democratic Republic from the division of the Federal Ministry of the Interior,

b)

Responsibility for the Foundation for the Work-up of the SED Dictatorship of the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

2.

The details of the transfers are regulated between the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and communicated to the head of the Federal Chancellery.
