Whereby the memory Exdesignado President of the Republic Dr. Alvaro Gomez Hurtado is honored || | THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA DECREES
ARTICLE 1o. The Republic honors the memory of Dr. exdesignado for President Alvaro Gomez Hurtado, worthy citizen of Colombia, and exalts his life and his work as a model of dignity and commitment to service of Colombians.
. The Republic of Colombia presents the life and work of Dr. Alvaro Gomez Hurtado to new generations as an example of Republican and patriotic virtue and as a model of honesty and adherence to ethical values that should guide the destinies of the Colombian nation.
ARTICLE 3. One of his oil will be placed in the Senate and a monument will be erected in his city of Santa Fe de Bogota, on the site to bring your family and district authorities.
ARTICLE 4. The Senate luxury edition published in the selected works of Dr. Alvaro Gomez Hurtado.
The 5th ITEM. The National Government will advance a program that includes studies and work necessary for the regulation of the Magdalena River basin and its entire program to be called Alvaro Gomez Hurtado.
ARTICLE 6o. The national government will build in the city of Santa Fe de Bogota, birthplace of Dr. Alvaro Gomez Hurtado, a company specializing in journalism and economic development library, which also include an art gallery and a music conservatory. The library bears his name and on his porch statue will rise.
ARTICLE 7. Declare the 2nd of November each year as a national day of tolerance.
Article 8. Public and private schools in coordination with municipal and district personerías celebrated with holding forums, conferences, workshops and seminars of reflection concerning tolerance, respect for life and peaceful coexistence.
Article 9. Authorize the Government to incorporate in the General Budget of the Nation, the budgetary appropriations necessary for compliance with the provisions of this law.
Article 10. This Law governs from its promulgation.
