Whereby the Bank of the Republic is authorized to participate in the issuance of international gold coin series or silver commemorative or numismatic purposes.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA DECREES:
ARTICLE 1o. Authorize the Bank of the Republic to wedge in the country or abroad a gold or silver legal tender, with commemorative or numismatic purposes, for the second Latin American series of coins commemorating the Quincentennial of the Discovery of America.
The Bank of the Republic may put it into circulation and distributed in Colombia or abroad, directly or by contract, for numismatic purposes.
The Board of the Bank of the Republic shall determine the amount of the issue, the face value of the coin, conditions and sales prices, their alloys and other features.
Article 2.
. The costs incurred by the Bank of the Republic for the minting of the coin under the preceding article as well as the income obtained from their sale will be expenses and operating income of the Bank, respectively.

ARTICLE 3. This Act governs from the date of publication.
