By which the Bank of the Republic is authorized to participate in the issuance of international series of gold or silver coins for commemorative or numismatic purposes.
COLOMBIA CONGRESS
DECRETA:
ARTICLE 1o. Authorize the Bank of the Republic to act in the country or abroad for a gold or silver coin of legal tender, for commemorative or numismatic purposes, corresponding to the second series Ibero-American coin commemorative of the Fifth Centenary of the Discovery of America.
The Bank of the Republic will be able to put it into circulation and distribute it in Colombia or abroad, directly or by contract, for numismatic purposes.
The Board of Directors of the Bank of the Republic will determine the amount of the issue, the face value of the currency, the conditions and prices of sale, its alloys and other characteristics.
ARTICLE 2o. The costs incurred by the Banco de la República for the minting of the currency provided for in the previous article, as well as the income it obtains from its sale, will be expenditure and operational revenues. of the Bank, respectively.
ARTICLE 3o. This Act governs from the date of its publication.
