For which provisions on the citizenship card are given and the inclusion of the blood type in it and the other identity documents are ordered

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. As of the validity of this Law, the identification documents shall include the blood group of the holder.

ARTICLE 2o. The National Registrar of the Civil State, under the development of article 75 of Decree Law 2241 of 1986, Colombian Electoral Code, will adopt the (a) the statistical classification to be used in the country and shall determine the dimensions and content of the identification documents of the population, which shall be valid for all purposes, including the exercise of rights; politicians of the citizens in which personal identification is necessary.

ARTICLE 3o. The current identification document must be renewed before 1 January 1999, in accordance with the provisions in force on the subject, under conditions of economy, security and reliability. in such a way as to permit the identification of the holder with that of the holder of the document directly or through the use of technological resources.

ARTICLE 4. the meantime, the process provided for in the previous article, the current system of laminated citizenship, will continue to have the civil, administrative and political effects identified in the provisions of the provisions of the legal force.

ARTICLE 5o. This Law governs from its enactment.
