By which item 1o is amended. of Law No 26 of February 8, 1990.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. Item 1o. of Law No 26 of 8 February 1990, thus:

Authorize the Assembly of the Department of Valle del Cauca to order the issue of the "Pro-Universidad del Valle" stamp, whose production will be used as follows:

40% for the investment in the physical plant, endowment and purchase of equipment required and necessary to develop in the University of Valle new technologies in the areas of biotechnology, new materials, microelectronics, computer science, communications and robotics.

25% will be invested in maintenance, extensions of the current physical plant, purchase of materials and laboratory equipment, endowment of libraries and to complete and consolidate the Regional System of the University of Valle.

10% to deal with the loan liabilities and expenses of the University of Valle for the Pension and Cesanties of its public servants.

15% will be invested in the constitution of three (3) Seasonal Funds as follows:

* 5% to the Heritage Fund for basic research.

* 5% to the Heritage Fund for Development Research.

* 5% to a Heritage Fund for the strengthening of the PhDs in Basic Sciences and Social and Human Sciences.

5% for the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the National Sectional University of Palmira-Valle to meet investment and scientific and technological research expenses.

5% for the Valley Departmental Library or for its Cultural Center attached.

This distribution affects the total amounts collected by the pro-University of Valle del Valle have been established by the law.

ARTICLE 2o. Repeal the paragraph of Article 6o. of Law No 26 of February 8, 1990.

ARTICLE 3o. This Law governs from the date of its enactment.
