:
ARTICLE 1o. Industrial Design is recognized as a profession of university professional level.
Article 2.
. It is understood by profession of Industrial Design exercise everything related to the design and projection management, use, manufacture and distribution of industrial products, provided that this activity is in walking distance to improve the use and benefit of such products.

ARTICLE 3. They are valid for the exercise of the profession of Industrial Designer certificates issued with the full requirements of the relevant educational modalities article 1 dealing laws. of this Act.
PARÁGRAFO. Not valid for the exercise of this profession purely honorary titles.

ARTICLE 4. To practice as Industrial Designer, you must meet the following requirements:
a) Hold a university degree obtained and duly registered in accordance with applicable regulations; and
b) The legal registration in the Ministry of Economic Development, which granted the respective professional card.
PARÁGRAFO. Professional degrees in Industrial Design who have been granted prior to the effective date of this Act by educational entities legally authorized for this university professional level, shall be valid to continue exercising the profession.

The 5th ITEM. The exercise of the profession of Industrial Designer, without fulfilling the requirements listed in Article 4o. It will be illegal and will result in appropriate sanctions.

ARTICLE 6o. For positions that require the exercise of Industrial Design in public or private entities, the same requirements set out in article 4 shall be required. of this Law.

ARTICLE 7. Create the Colombian Professional Committee of Industrial Design as an auxiliary agency of the Government, under the Ministry of Economic Development, control, monitoring and development of the exercise of this profession, which will be composed as follows:
a) by the Minister of Economic development or his delegate, who will preside;
B) the Minister of National Education or his delegate;
C) a representative of the faculties of Industrial Design, legally recognized in the country who will hold the title of Industrial Designer. This representation will rotate each year in the form that establishes the Ministry of Education;
D) Two Industrial Designers and delegates elected for periods of one year, this committee by Colombian professional guilds Industrial Design duly constituted and recognized before the State, if any. Effective Notes


Article 8. The functions of the Colombian Professional Committee of Industrial Design as follows:
1. Collaborate with the National Government in compliance with this Act and the implementing regulations.
2. Dictation, adopt and amend its own rules.
3. Raise before the Ministry of Education, initiatives and comments on the approval of new study programs related to this profession.
4. Issue the statute on professional ethics of practice of the profession of Industrial Design.
5. To forward to the competent authorities about the violation of this Act, and rules on professional ethics for the imposition of sanctions that may apply.
6. Promote research and development of Industrial Design, either directly or in collaboration with institutions of public or private law.
7. Foster the establishment of the Colombian Confederation of Industrial Designers Guilds and monitor its operation.

Article 9. Industrial Design has the primary function of helping the society, individuals and corporations to solve the problems and needs that you and others have in any area of ​​their competence.

ARTICLE 10. The National Government shall regulate this Law, within a period of six (6) months from the date of promulgation.

Article 11. This Law governs from the date of publication and repeals provisions that are contrary.
