The DECISION to approve the development plan vegetables and flowering plants until 2010, vision 2020 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ the MINISTER of AGRICULTURE and RURAL DEVELOPMENT, pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/ND-CP on 18/7/2003 of government functions, tasks, powers and organization of the Ministry of agriculture and rural development;
Pursuant to decision No. 150/2005/QD-TTg dated 20/6/2005 by the Prime Minister approving the shift in production of agriculture, forestry and fisheries of the country until 2010 and vision 2020;
Base No. 2349/VPCP-NN July 4/5/2007 of the Prime Minister authorized the Minister of agriculture and rural development approved the development of flowers and vegetable plants by 2010, 2020 vision;
Proposal of the Director General of agricultural and forestry products and salt, agriculture Bureau, Director of the plan.
Decision: article 1. Approval of the development plan of vegetables and flowering plants until 2010, vision 2020 with the following: i. the DIRECTION of DEVELOPMENT-continuing development program and the United States, vegetable plants on the basis of exploiting favourable climatic conditions, diverse ecology (tropical, subtropical Asia temperate,) of the region. Combine the renovated garden, intensive gardens we have with new plantings in the direction of specialized production, using advanced technologies, environment-friendly; To meet the increasing demand of consumers in domestic and export service.
-Focus on developing the fruit has competitive advantages, including some of the main crops serve as export: bananas, pineapple, label, Dragon, mango, grapefruit, lychee, breast milk ...-Mounted production with market, promote the production and processing of products with high added value in order to compete on the domestic and world markets. In the coming time, for vegetables and flowering plants need a focus to markets in Asia-Pacific, which especially China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan; also for the pepper should attach importance to the European market.
-Vegetable fruit production is based on the application of high technology, we must first make the manufacturing process in the direction of good agricultural practices (GAP), ensure food safety, competitive with imported goods right in the domestic market and boost exports. In the period 2010-2020, in addition to domestic demand, export turnover of Vietnam fruits vegetables striving 1.2 billion USD/year.
II. -Pepper: area: 50 thousand ha; yield: 120 thousand tons.
-Flower plants: area: 15 thousand ha; output: 6.3 billion.
b) exports (annex 2 and 3): strive to 2010 total vegetable exports fruits reached 760 million us dollars achieved types/year, 2020 1.2 billion USD/year. -Encourage investment in building the base for processing vegetables and small in the countryside, in accordance with the material, mainly by mechanical equipment in the country built but must have advanced technologies, ensuring technical standards and food safety;
-Investing in the line for the classification, processing, packaging and storage in the vegetable market of fruit to serve cargo traffic between regions and service exports.
