Law No. 13,049
RENTALS AND LEASES
UNTIL CERTAIN DATES ARE SUSPENDED, EVICTIONS AND LAUNCHES INITIATED AGAINST TENANTS OR SUBTENANTS, GOOD PAYERS, OF ANY PROPERTY MAY BE THEIR DESTINATION, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE GROUNDS FOR REASONABLE RENT AND A MAZO IS AGREED UPON. TO RATIFY THE REGISTRATION OF CONTRACTS OR NON-DOCUMENTED CONTRACTUAL COMPLAINTS.
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,
DECREE:
Article 1 °. Declare suspended ex officio from the sanction of this law until June 30, 1962, evictions and launches initiated against tenants or subtenants, good payers, of farms irrespective of their destination, with the exception of those falling within the grounds of Articles 7 ° of Law No
11,921of 24 March 1953, and 15 of Law No
12.492of 9 January 1958.
Article 2 °. Suspend until April 30, 1963, the periods of evictions and launches in the situations provided for in Articles 1 and 2 of Law No.
12,731of 14 June 1960, and also in cases where the extension of Article 12 of the law number
12,100 has been made. For the purposes of this suspension, the exceptions provided for in Article 3 of the Law No
12.603, dated 27 April 1959.
Article 3 °. Also suspended for the time limit set in Article 2 °, the effectiveness of evictions in cases where the lessor has been covered by Article 13 (B) of the law N °
12,100, of 27 April 1954, provided that they relate to premises which constitute a physical unit even if they comprise several rolls and are occupied by a tenancy or sharecropping system for not less than three producers.
Article 4 °. Remember a period of one hundred and eighty days from the day following the date of publication of this law, for the purposes of Chapter I, of the law N °
12,100, of 27 April 1954, as regards the registration of contracts or complaints of contractual situations not documented, prior to or after that law.
Article 5 °. This law is in public order.
Article 6 °. Commune, etc.
