BICENTENARY OF
SAN CARLOS CITY


DECLARED HOLIDAYS, LICENSES ARE AGREED FOR THE OFFICIALS BORN IN THE 2ND, 4TH AND 6TH SECTIONS AND THE COLONIAL CHURCH IS DECLARED HISTORIC MONUMENT.


The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,

DECREE:



Article 1 °.
Declared in the jurisdiction of the Municipality of San Carlos, on 7, 8 and 9 October 1963, and the Public Powers shall agree to the officials who were born in that day. that jurisdiction (2nd, 4th, and 6th Sections of the Department of Maldonado).

Article 2 °.
The General Post Office will issue special series of postal values to the Bicentennial of the San Carlos City Foundation.

Article 3 °.
Declaring Historic Monument the Colonial Church of San Carlos (18th Century) under the jurisdiction of the National Commission of National Historical Monuments, to the sole effect of advising and attending to the restoration and preservation of the building and without prejudice to the rights and privileges of the ecclesiastical authorities for their normal functioning according to the respective cult.

Article 4 °.
The territorial jurisdiction of the municipality of San Carlos (2nd, 4th and 6th Sections) is declared an area of interest for tourism.



Article 5 °.
Designate with the name of Virrey Pedro de Cevallos the Route 9 Road in the sector comprising from kilometer 143 to kilometer 210 and public school No. 13 in the City of San Carlos.
