HOTELS, RESTAURANTS AND
GASTRONOMIC TRADE
IT IS ESTABLISHED THAT THE PERCENTAGES SET BY THE LAUDOS IN FORCE FOR GROUP 11 WILL HAVE TO BE APPLIED TO THE CUSTOMER ' S ACCOUNTS, THE EXCEPTIONS ARE DETERMINED AND PENALTIES ARE SET FOR THE OFFENDERS.
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,
DECREE:
Article 1 °. The percentage set in the different lauts in force, or those that are established in future awards, in the dining activity (hotels, restaurants in Group 11 of the General Classification of the work activities) and which constitute an integral part of the workers ' salary, is compulsory throughout the country, and must be applied in an express manner on the accounts or additions of the clients.
Article 2 °. Except for the obligation set out in the previous article, only the case in which the hotel, restaurant or gastronomic trade is exclusively attended by its owners, without any intervention Class of kitchen or mozos staff considered permanent, alternate or extra.
Article 3 °. The violations of this law shall be punishable by the National Institute of Labor and Anexated Services, with a fine of $500.00 (five hundred pesos) for the first time and, in each subsequent infringement, with the amount equal to twice the amount of the fine which was paid to it for the previous infringement.
