DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF ARMENIAN MARTYRS
DECLARES ON APRIL 24, 1965 AND SE
HAVE VARIOUS TRIBUTES
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,
DECREE:
Article 1 °. Declared on April 24 next "Day of remembrance of Armenian martyrs", in tribute to the members of that nationality murdered in 1915.
Article 2 °. The radio stations of the Official Broadcasting Service will have to do part of their programming in honor of the aforementioned nation.
Article 3 °. Authorize the descendants of Armenians who perform public functions to miss their offices on that date.
Article 4 °. Designate with the name "Armenia", the 2nd School. Grade, No. 156, from the Department of Montevideo.
Article 5 °. Commune, etc.
