STATUS CASES
THE AUTHORIZATION GRANTED TO THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH IS EXTENDED FOR THE EXPLOITATION OF THE EASTERN TIP, SAN RAFAEL, ATLANTIDA, PIRIAPOLIS, RIVERA AND CARMELO.
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,
DECREE:
Article 1 °. Extended until 1 December 1967 the authorization granted to the Executive Branch to exploit the Casinos of Punta del Este, San Rafael, Atlantida, Piriapolis, Rivera and Carmelo.
Article 2 °. The summer season will run from December 1 to April 30, and the winter season will run from May 1 to November 30 each year.
Article 3 °. The liquid utilities that are obtained from the Casinos exploitation will be distributed as follows:
A) 10 (ten percent) to increase the "Forecast Fund"
that will go to:
1) Acquisition of movable and immovable property necessary for the attainment of the purposes provided for in this Law. The opinion of the National Tourism Commission must be previously required for the purchase of buildings.
2 °) Reserve to match any losses.
3 °) Strengthening the banking capital necessary for the exploitation of the game and attention of police services.
B) 40 (forty per cent) for Departmental Councils where, have your seat the Casino for Public Works. Of this produced, 20% (twenty percent) will be invested in works in the area of the Casinos location. From what is received by the Departmental Council of Maldonado for this concept, 25% (twenty-five percent) will be delivered to the local Autonomous Council of San Carlos, with the same destination.
C) 20% (twenty percent) to the National Tourism Commission for the purpose of stimulating the tourism industry.
D) 10% (ten percent) to the National Food Institute for the purchase of food and miscellaneous for public and school canteens.
E) 4% (four percent) to the Special Fund (National Treasury, Sub-Account) "Historical Monuments").
F) 16% (sixteen percent) to the "Development Fund of Science, Letters, Arts and Culture", to be administered by the Ministry of Public Instruction and Social Welfare.
Article 4 °. The laws and regulations that
do not object to this law shall remain in force
