DR. BALTASAR BRUM
THE EXPROPRIATION OF A PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 44 JUDICIAL SECTION OF MONTEVIDEO TO BE USED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A LIBRARY IS DECLARED TO BE OF PUBLIC USE.
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,
DECREE:
Article 1 °. Public utility declares the expropriation of the ground floor and first floor of the imnueble located in Montevideo, 4th, Judicial Section, Rio Branco Street 1390/4, and with the N ° 5378 and with an area of 226 square meters, which until March 1, 1933 served as a house-room to Dr. Baltasar Brum.
Article 2 °. The State shall install in the expropriated property a Library which shall exclusively contain historical works of national authors or which are about men or facts of national history.
The name "Dr. Baltasar Brum" and on the front of the building will be placed a plaque with the following inscription: " In this house Habit Baltasar Brum, martyr of the national democracy.
Article 3 °. The sum which by concept of compensation must be paid to the owners of the iiunueble whose expropriation is declared to be of public utility, shall be imputed to the availabilities resulting from the application of the Article 174 of Law No.
13,420of 2 December 1965.
Article 4 °. The Executive Branch shall regulate this law.
