INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND


AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH TO ACCEPT THE
AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTIVE CONVENTION


The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,

DECREE:




Article 1 °.
Authorize the Executive Branch:

l) To accept the Amendment to the International Monetary Fund's Constitutive Convention, approved by the Assembly of Governors of the International Monetary Fund in its resolution No. 23-5;

2) To subscribe and deposit the necessary instrumentation in order for the Eastern Republic of Uruguay to become a participant in the Special Drawing Account established by the said Amendment.

Article 2 °.
Authorize the Central Bank of Uruguay to accept, acquire, own, invest, manage, use and, in general, dispose of the broadest mode, as an integral part of its international reserves, Special Drawing Rights resulting from the operation of the Special Drawing Account established by the Amendment referred to in the previous article.
