The Senate and the CA of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,

DECREE:

ArtAculoA 1Aº. -A prohAbe is required to require the performance or presentation of pregnancy test or medical certificate of absence of state of gravidity, as a requirement for the process of selection, income, promotion and remain in any position or employment, both in public and private activities. Likewise, the requirement of any form of declaration of absence of pregnancy is prohabe.

ArtAculoA 2Aº. -A non-compliance with the provisions of the above article by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the application of the most severe administrative, pecuniary or administrative sanctions the nature of this law, in accordance with the legislation in force in force, to the date of entry into force of this law.

ArtAculoA 3Aº. -A The result of the penalties provided for in the above article will be for the implementation of the actions of the National Equal Opportunities and Treatment Plan in Employment.
