TEST of pregnancy or certificate doctor of absence of pregnancy is prohibited his realization or requirement as requirement for the process of selection income, promotion or TENURE in any Office or employment public or private the Senate and the Chamber of representatives of the Republic East of the Uruguay, gathered at General Assembly, Decree: article 1.-it is prohibited to require the preparation or presentation of test of pregnancy or absence of pregnant medical certification as a requirement for the selection process, entry, promotion and tenure in any office or employment, both in public and private activity. In addition, the demand for all forms of Declaration of absence of pregnancy is prohibited. Article 2.-non-compliance with the provisions of the previous article deserves, by the Ministry of labour and Social Security, application of more severe sanctions administrative, pecuniary or nature that corresponds, according to current legislation in this field, the date of the entry into force of this law.
