Act No. 05

President of the Republic

Based on the provisions of the Constitution.

As approved by the People ' s Assembly at its 9.5-1438th meeting,

6-2-2017 my birthday.

Issue:

Article 1

In each of the governorates of the Syrian Arab Republic, civil courts " appellate-start " shall have jurisdiction over insurance cases in accordance with the provisions of the laws in force and the rules of jurisdiction contained in the Code of Trial Assets, whose functions shall be filled by the numerical staffing of each governorate by a decision of the Supreme Council of Justice.

Article 2

The courts ' judgements brought in in accordance with the provisions of this Act accept appeal in accordance with the rules established in the Law on Trial Assets and the judgements of the Court of Appeal are subject to appeal before one or more chambers of the Court of Cassation to hear insurance cases.

Article 3

Cases currently in place are referred to the corresponding competent court under this Act which is within its domestic jurisdiction.

Article 4

This law is published in the Official Gazette.
