Based on the provisions of the Constitution, and as approved by the People's Assembly at its meeting held in the history of 18-12-2005,
The following are issued:
Article 1
Customs and standard fees receive the contents of parcels imported by land, sea or by mail or aircraft on the basis of a rate of 25 per cent of their value, instead of the fee rates imposed on the contents of such parcels in the harmonized customs tariff, and on the cost of transportation By aircraft according to the prescribed categories of mail parcels and under the following conditions:
a. To apply this standard rate, whether or not the content of the package is of a single or multi-item category.
b. The package does not contain tobacco, cigarettes or alcoholic materials and does not contain goods that are not being imported in excess of the allowable limit.
c. Expulsion weight shall not exceed fifteen kilograms.
d. The value of the articles shall not exceed twenty-five thousand Syrian pounds.
(e) Expulsion is of a family or purely personal nature.
Article 2
Act No. 78 of 1959 is terminated and amended by Legislative Decree No. 5 of 1993.

This law is published in the Official Journal.
