OSAV Order instituting measures to prevent the introduction of avian influenza in Switzerland from Italy

See art. 24, para. 3, let. A, of the Law of 1 Er July 1966 on epizootics 1 , given art. 5, para. 4, of the order of 18 November 2015 regulating the trade in imports, transit and export of animals and animal products with the EU Member States, Iceland and Norway 2 ,

Stops:

Art. 1 Purpose and Purpose

1 The purpose of this order is to prevent the introduction of avian influenza in Switzerland.

2 It regulates the import of live poultry, egg-ready poultry, day-old chicks, hatching eggs, poultry meat and table eggs from Italy.

Art. 2 Imports of live poultry, ready-to-lay poultry, day chicks and hatching eggs

The import of live poultry, ready-to-lay poultry, day chicks and hatching eggs from the Italian protection and surveillance zones set out in the annex is prohibited.

Art. 3 Importation of Poultry Meat

The importation of poultrymeat from the Italian protection areas listed in the Annex is prohibited unless the meat has been subjected to the heat treatment provided for in Directive 2002 /99/EC 1 .

Art. 4 Importing table eggs

1 The import of table eggs from the Italian protection and surveillance zones listed in the Annex is prohibited.

2 No ban on imports of table eggs that:

A.
Come from areas of protection, if the importer can establish that the conditions laid down in s. 26, para. 2, of Directive 2005 /94/EC 1 Are completed;
B.
Come from the surveillance zones, if the importer can establish that the conditions laid down in s. 30, let. C, c. V and vi, of Directive 2005 /94/EC are fulfilled.

Art. 5 Entry into force

This Order comes into force on May 14, 2016.
