In its main areas of activity, defence, population protection and sports, the Federal Department of Defence, Population and Sports Protection (DDPS) 1 ) Pursues the following objectives:

The DDPS pursues its objectives and activities in accordance with the general principles governing administrative activity (art. 11 OLOGA) and the following principles:

1 Objectives set out in s. 5 to 15 constitute, for the administrative units of the DDPS, the guidelines that are used to perform the duties and the exercise of the competencies that are set out in federal legislation.
