Order of the Federal Assembly On positions of judge at the Federal Court

On 30 September 2011 (State 1 Er January 2012)

The Swiss Federal Assembly,

See art. 1, para. 5, of the Act of 17 June 2005 on the Federal Court 1 , having regard to the report of 8 April 2011 of the Committee on Legal Affairs of the National Council 2 , having regard to the opinion of the Federal Council of 4 May 2011 3 ,

Stops:

Art. 1 Membership of judges

The Federal Tribunal is composed of:

A.
38 ordinary judges;
B.
19 deputy judges.
Art. 2 Management control and report

1 The Federal Court carries out a management check which serves as the basis for the Federal Assembly to exercise high supervision and determine the number of judges.

2 It reports in its management report on the evolution of the workload and, in general, the results of the management control.

Art. 3 Entry into force

This Order shall enter into force on 1 Er January 2012.
