The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Directorate of Economic and Financial Affairs presents its compliments to the Swiss Embassy and has the honour to refer to its note verbale 476/51 on the Agreement of 29 July 1991 1 Between the Swiss Federal Council and the Government of the French Republic concerning the exercise of fishing and the protection of aquatic environments in the Doubs forming part of the border between the two states.
In its deliberations of 2 June 1995, the Joint Fisheries Commission on the Border Doubs, pursuant to Art. 9, para. 5, of the Agreement, adopted a notice proposing the total revision of the Settlement Regulations 2 , replacing that of 29 July 1991 3 .
Art. 3, para. 2, of the Agreement provides that all amendments to the Regulations referred to in the Agreement shall be exchanged between the Parties.
France has approved the revised Regulations.
The present note and the one which the Embassy has kindly addressed to the Ministry constitute the agreement of the two Governments on the Implementing Regulations adopted on 2 June 1995, which came into force on 1 July 1995. Er January 1996.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Directorate of Economic and Financial Affairs-takes this opportunity to renew to the Swiss Embassy the assurances of its high regard.
