OFAG Order for Countries Exempt from Mandatory Reporting under the Farm Order on Reporting

Art. 1 Terminology

In this order, the following terms apply:

A.: SPAM: antibiotics and other antimicrobial substances in performance stimulation;
B.: Domestic poultry: feeder chickens (broiler chickens), turkeys, guinea fowl, geese, ducks, pigeons and cattle quails;
C.: Game birds of the order of artiodactyls raised in pens, including deer and deer.

Art. 2 ¹Production ban on hormones and SPAM

Annex 1 lists countries where the use of hormones and/or SPAM in the diet of listed animal categories is subject to an equivalent legal prohibition, accompanied by a monitoring programme. When importing food of animal origin, the conditions under the veterinary police are reserved.

Art. 3 Production ban on battery farming

The countries in which the stockbroking of laying hens are subject to an equivalent legal prohibition are listed in Annex 2.

Art. 4 Entry into force

This order shall enter into force on 1 ^Er January 2004.
