General provisions
section 1 of this Act applies to the diseases and pathogens in animals
can be spread naturally from animals to humans (zoonoses) and

control and enforcement.

Prevention and control

Public control authorities control
8 § Public monitoring of compliance with this law, the

Obligation to provide assistance

Compensation
11 a § For costs or losses incurred as a result
of decision under this Act or because of regulations that
issued by virtue of law compensation can be paid by
State funds. Questions about the compensation assessed by the Government or

Transitional provisions
1999:658
1. this law shall enter into force on 1 October 1999, when the law
(1983:738) on combating salmonella in the animal ceases to
apply.
2. The old law still apply, however, in cases where such
decision on enforcement referred to in paragraph 1 of the law has been taken
before 1 October 1999.
