General provisions



section 1 of this Act applies to the diseases and pathogens in animals

can be spread naturally from animals to humans (zoonoses) and

that is not such epizootic diseases covered by

law (1999:657). The law, however, applies only to such

zoonoses that there is sufficient knowledge about effective

control and enforcement.

Public control authorities control



8 § Public monitoring of compliance with this law, the

11 a § For costs or losses incurred as a result

of decision under this Act or because of regulations that

Transitional provisions



1999:658



1. this law shall enter into force on 1 October 1999, when the law

(1983:738) on combating salmonella in the animal ceases to

apply.



2. The old law still apply, however, in cases where such

before 1 October 1999.
