Area of activity



section 1 of the Swedish civil contingencies Agency has responsibility for

questions about the accident prevention, emergency preparedness and civil defence,

to the extent that no other authority is responsible.

The authority shall



1. develop and support society's preparedness against accidents and

crises and be a driving force in the work of prevention and
