The scope of the
Article 1 this regulation lays down provisions on State
co-financing to
1. regional public transport authorities according to law
(2010:1065) if public transport for investments in
a) regional public transport facilities,
b) rolling stock for regional public transport by rail,
Metro and tram with the limitations as set out
2 section 9, as well as
c) ships in regional public transit transports
persons and goods,
2. regional public transport authorities for measures that increase
accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility beyond what
resulting from the regulations on disabled facilities which
The Transport Department has notified pursuant to section 4 of the regulation
(1980:398) about handicapped accessible public transportation or the requirements
in terms of accessibility that can be addressed with the support of plan-

3. local councils or other bodies for the construction of
airport facilities with different principal than the State,
4. the municipalities for environmental improvement measures and
traffic safety on municipal roads and streets in so far as these
action goes beyond what is covered by the existing municipal

1 a of the regional public transport authorities
According to § 1 applies also, after approval from such

Items for which co-financing is granted must

to these, as well as investment in travel information sites
facilitating travel of persons with disabilities,
7. construction of quay facilities for ships in regional
public transport, transporting people and goods,
meet a public communications needs,
8. investments in vessels in the regional public transport
transporting people and goods and to satisfy a
General communication needs, as well as
9. investments in such rolling stock for the regional
public passenger transport services by rail, Metro or tram which

Co-financing in accordance with the first paragraph 6 may be granted under

Allocation of funds

Co-financing rate
section 5 of Governmental co-financing may be granted up to 50
percent of the cost.
For investments under section 2, the Transport Department, if there is
special reason, grant co-financing of up to 75

The DMV then establishes a provisional sum of

Regulations relating to the establishments referred to in paragraph 2 of 4
may only be announced after consultation with the Swedish Transport Agency.
Regulations relating to the measures referred to in paragraph 2 of the 6 may
only be announced after consultation with the Transport Agency and
The Swedish Maritime Administration.
Regulations relating to such facilities or vessels
referred to in paragraph 2 of the 7 and 8 can only be announced after consultation with

Supervision
section 12 of the Transport Department should ensure that Government co-financing
granted under this regulation is used appropriately
and for the intended purpose. At the co-financing of such
establishments referred to in paragraph 2 of the 4 should the supervision be done in consultation with
The Swedish Transport Agency. In the case of co-financing to
measures referred to in paragraph 2 of 6 shall be done in consultation with the supervisory
The transport agency and the Swedish Maritime Administration. When it comes to
co-financing of such installations and vessels referred to
in section 2 of the 7 and 8, the supervision be done in consultation with the Swedish Maritime Administration.
