§ 1 the national archives State Archives authority and have it

specific responsibilities for the State archives activities and for

Archive services in the country as evidenced by the Archives Act (1990:782),

Archive Regulation (1991:446) and this regulation.

1. work to ensure that such authorities and bodies referred to in paragraph 4 of the

fulfil their obligations under the Archives Act (1990:782) and

Archive Regulation (1991:446),



2. promote the development of methods for the production,

preserving and making available of documents as part of the

management development,



3. promote appropriate screening of documents,



4. give the municipalities of advice in archive issues and push for increased

coherence and coordination between the State and the

municipal archive management, and



5. promote increased knowledge based on research and collaboration

with others, such as universities and colleges, and

impart knowledge in its field.



section 6 of the national archives may, in addition to what follows from the Archives Act

(1990:782) and section 4, receiving records from the Parliament

and its works, government offices and from municipal

authorities.
