Article 1 this regulation lays down provisions concerning the placing on the
market and the departure of some species of fish and fish products
thereof originating in the Baltic region.
section 2 of the Fish species covered by this regulation are wild
1. salmon (Salmo salar),
2. Baltic herring (Clupea harengus) larger than 17 cm,
3. Char (Salvelinus spp.),
4. flodnejonöga (Lampetra fluviatilis) and
5. trout (Salmo trutta).

Export to countries that are members of the European Union
5 § Wild salmon and fish products originating in
The Baltic Sea region may be brought out to the other countries of the European
Union than Finland and Latvia only if the fish or
fish products meet the requirements of point 5.3 of the annex to
Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006.
Other wild fish covered by this regulation and
fishery products originating in the Baltic region may be brought
out to other countries in the European Union than Finland only
If the fish or fish products meet the requirements of paragraph 5(3) of
the annex to Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006.
section 6 of the Regulations for the export of fish and
fish products and try to export in violation of this

Regulation Act (2000:1225) of punishment for smuggling.
