section 1 of the Swedish National Heritage Board is responsible for the issues of cultural heritage.
This responsibility includes, in the first instance, issues of cultural landscape,
cultural sites and artifacts.
The National Heritage Board has the task of building on the
the national cultural policy objectives and national goals
for kulturmiljö work to be proactive and supportive of
its area of operation.
2 § the museums shall, in particular,
1. work towards a sustainable society with a diversity of
cultural environments are maintained, used and developed,
2. promote the cultural values of the buildings and the landscape

urban planning and construction,
3. follow and support the regional kulturmiljö work,
4. monitor and evaluate cultural heritage area's means of control and

child perspective as well as an international and intercultural
Exchange and cooperation.
3 § the museums shall also provide goods and commit
to conduct research, surveys and other services
in its field of activity.
4 § the museums shall promote the generation of targets for
environmental performance and the environmental quality objectives which Parliament has
established accessible and shall, where necessary, propose measures for
development of environmental work.
The authority shall, in respect of their environmental performance report
to the environmental protection agency. Authorities shall consult on the
reporting as needed.
§ 5 authority has overall responsibility, sector responsibility,
disability issues related to the Agency's
field of activity.
The authority shall, within the framework of this responsibility be collecting,
supporting and driving in relation to the other parties.
section 6 of the National Heritage Board shall for authorities and other
managing cultural heritage provide some museum services
storage and preventive care of objects.
7 § the museums shall have a special library for research and
development in the fields of cultural heritage, archaeology, medieval
art history and numismatics.
The Authority manages the Royal. Swedish Academy of letters, history and
Antiquities of the Academy's archives from the period prior to 1 July 1975
and its library.
section 8 Authority to follow up the regional outcomes of their
activity and report it to the Swedish National Council for Cultural Affairs.
Authorities shall consult on the reporting
needed.
Collaboration
§ 9 the Agency's collaboration with Governments and other actors
should include civil society organisations.
Management
section 10 of the authority is headed by a head of Government.
11 § at the Agency, there shall be an Advisory Council consisting
of not more than seven members.

section 12 of the antiquarian's head of Government.
Överantikvarien is the representative for the Deputy.
13 § Överantikvarien is appointed by order of the Government.
Staff disciplinary board
section 14 of the authority, there shall be a
staff disciplinary board.
Applicability of certain regulations
15 § the museums shall apply the staff representatives Ordinance
(1987:1101).
Fees
16 § when the Agency performs the tasks set out in paragraph 2 of 6 and
7 it may charge fees for activities within the framework of full
cost recovery. Fees are determined by the authority,
except in the cases referred to in section 15, the fee regulation
(1992:191).
The authority may dispose of fee revenues.
