The final disposition of Order DEF/191/2008, of January 28, for which the Defense Awards are regulated, attributes to the Directorate General of Institutional Relations of the Defense the adoption of the necessary measures for develop and implement what is established in that ministerial order.
Article 3.3 of Royal Decree 1887/2011 of 30 December 2011 establishing the basic organic structure of the ministerial departments abolished the General Directorate of Institutional Relations of the Defense. Furthermore, the additional provision of the said royal decree provides that references in the legal order to the deleted organs shall be construed as those which, by the same rule, are created, replaced or assume their powers. or, failing that, the organ they relied on.
According to the provisions of article 14.2.j) of Royal Decree 454/2012, of 5 March, for which the basic organic structure of the Ministry of Defense is developed, it corresponds to the General Secretariat of Defense Policy propose and coordinate the cultural policy of security and defense and the promotion of national defense awareness, so it becomes necessary to modify the development enablement established in the Order's additional provision DEF/191/2008, dated January 28.

Single item. Amendment of Order DEF/191/2008 of 28 January, governing the Defence Awards.
The additional provision of Order DEF/191/2008 of 28 January 2008 for the Defence Awards is worded as follows:
" Additional disposition first. Development measures.
The General Secretariat of Defense Policy will take the necessary steps to develop and implement what is established in this ministerial order. "
Single end disposition. Entry into force.
This ministerial order shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the "Official State Gazette".
