The Order of August 31, 1990, creating the professional identity card and the badge in the Civil Guard, provided the members of this Body with identifying elements that will accredit their status as agents. of the authority as members of the State Security Forces and Corps.

The experience gained since the creation of these means of identification, as well as the need to provide the identity card of materials and security measures that guarantee their physical integrity and their use in conditions optimal for the citizens, they make it necessary to modify the Order that regulated them.

Both in front and back, the card includes guilloche-type security funds.

On the front, the guilloche funds have a green strip (pantone 341) on which it appears printed in white, aligned to the left and in two lines, "GUARDIA CIVIL". To the right of "CIVIL" there is a Spanish flag made with microprinting, which includes the text "CIVIL GUARD", on which the legend "SPAIN" printed in OVI ink appears. Below this area, the guilloches have thinner lines, with a reserve zone for the photograph to the left, and to the right the emblem of the Civil Guard printed in color. Beneath this and melted with the guilloches appears the shield of Spain. A kinegrama on the right side of the photograph and the left of the Civil Guard emblem is also incorporated.

On the reverse, the background guilloches reproduce the Civil Guard emblem slightly tilted to the right. The vertical separation between the two shades of green is done by a microprint line that includes the text "CIVIL GUARD".

Both in front and back, the Spanish shield printed in invisible ink, with red response, visible only under ultraviolet light, is incorporated. "
