Regulation (EU) number 1379 / 2013, of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2013 by which establishes the common organization of the market in fisheries and aquaculture products sector, amending regulations (EC) number 1184 / 2006 and (EC) number 1224 / 2009 of the Council and repealing Regulation (EC) 104/2000 number of Council It regulates in its chapter IV information to the consumer, establishing in its article 37 obligation of States members prepare and publish a list of the commercial designations accepted in their territory, together with their scientific names.

It also establishes the cited article 37 that any modification of the list of commercial designations accepted by a Member State in its territory must be notified immediately to the Commission, which shall inform the other Member States.

During the year 2014, new species have been marketed in our market, has also been the simplification of the list, all this makes it necessary to revise the resolution of 31 March 2014, the Secretary General of fishing, that is set and published the list of trade names of fish species and supported aquaculture in Spain in order to include the new changes taking place and approved by the Committee on trade names of fishery species in Spain, approved by order PRE/634/2004.

For these reasons, and on the proposal of the Committee on trade names of fishery species in Spain, this Secretariat-General for fisheries resolves: first.

1 establish the list of trade names of fish species in Spain.

2. the trade name shall be regarded as official name throughout the national territory. However, the different meanings of trade names which are included in the list and which have been recognized by the autonomous communities will be complementary of the one.


To publicize the list of commercial designations of fish species supported in Spain through its publication in the «Official Gazette» as a single annex to this resolution, which replaces the list of unique annex of resolution of 31 March 2014.
