The Ministry of health, social services and equality, in accordance with article 15.2 of law 55/2003, of December 16, following its amendment by the Royal Decree-Law 16/2012, on April 20, has proceeded, after verification of the categories of statutory regime existing in the provisions in force in each health service in each autonomous community, the identification of the occupational categories in force of statutory staff and as a result, the development of the uniform catalogue of equivalences of the professional categories of the statutory staff of the health services. Article 2. Definitions.

(c) Professional category: grouping of functions, qualifications, skills, group and functional subset of classification and qualification, necessary and required for the provision of a public service in the context of the national health system, which conditions the incorporation and professionals access to schools and health institutions of this system in the Group and subgroup of corresponding professional classification.
(d) reference category: name of the category to which are made equivalent those regulated in each health service categories that present the same requirements of access in terms of degree, qualifications and other requirements of skills and vocational training, and, in addition, play functionally the same tasks and responsibilities, regardless of its original name.
(e) equivalent category: grouping of functions, qualifications, skills, group and subgroup functional classification and certification, which, with different denomination, is considered comparable to another or others in force in various health services, and identified, in turn, with a category of reference.
Article 3. Scope of application.
This Royal Decree is applicable to statutory staff which plays its role in schools and health institutions of the health services of the different administrations with competencies in health care.
CHAPTER II homogeneous catalogue of equivalences of the professional categories of statutory item 4 health services staff. Uniform catalogue of equivalences.

Article 5. Structure of the uniform catalogue of equivalences.

(c) categories equivalent to which is fixed, in each case, as reference.
Article 6. Conditions and criteria basic of the calls of those contests of transfer.

(e) access to the categories of reference by participating in a contest of transfer will require that the applicant is framed, in its origin, in the specialty or specific category in which places are offered.
