Royal Decree 1133/2010 of 10 September, which regulates the provision of the flight information service of aerodromes (AFIS), establishes the requirements according to which the provision of this air traffic service it is considered necessary and sufficient for the conduct of air operations on public aerodromes.

The experience accumulated since the adoption of this royal decree, as well as the practice of the air operations in the countries of our environment advises to relax the regime foreseen in this royal decree, to whose effect it must to be modified.

In this context it is necessary to extend the transitional period provided for in the first transitional provision of Royal Decree 1133/2010 of 10 September 2010 for the implementation of the aeronautical safety studies provided for in its Article 9, in order for such studies and the measures to be taken in accordance with them, to meet the actual needs to be determined in the future modification of this royal decree.

With this object, the requirement of the aforementioned aeronautical safety studies is delayed until 31 December 2016, sufficient time for the modification of Royal Decree 1133/2010, of 10 of 10 September.

In its virtue, on the proposal of the Minister of Development and the Minister of Defense, in agreement with the Council of State, and after deliberation by the Council of Ministers at its meeting on June 19, 2015,

Single item. Amendment of Royal Decree 1133/2010 of 10 September 2010 regulating the provision of the aerodromes flight information service (AFIS).

The first transitional provision of Royal Decree 1133/2010 of 10 September 2010 governing the provision of the aerodromes flight information service (AFIS), which is to be drawn up in the following cases, is amended. terms:

" First transient disposition. Transitional rules on aerodromes.

Public-use civil airports and aerodromes which, at the date of entry into force of this royal decree, do not have aerodrome control services and are in any of the cases referred to in Article 9; they shall have until 31 December 2016 to carry out the aeronautical safety studies governing this royal decree and to comply with it. "

Single end disposition. Entry into force.

This royal decree will enter into force on the day following its publication in the "Official State Gazette".
