Article 49 of Royal Decree 1363/2007 of 24 October 2007 establishing the general management of special arrangements for sports purposes determines that in order to exercise teaching in sport teaching modules of the common block must be in possession of the title of Licentiated, Engineer, Architect or corresponding degree of Degree. In the same article it is indicated that together with the regulation of the corresponding minimum teachings of each modality and, where appropriate, sports specialty, the agreement of qualification of the teachers with the module that will be imparting.
Annex XII to Royal Decree 64/2010 of 29 January establishing the title of Sports Technician in Speleology and setting out its minimum teaching and access requirements; Annex X to Royal Decree 932/2010, 23 of July, for which the title of Sports Technician is established in sports diving with autonomous scapandra and its minimum teachings and access requirements are set; Annex XII to Royal Decree 933/2010, of July 23, establishing the Sports Technician titles in the equestrian disciplines of jump, dressage and complete competition and Technical Sports in the equestrian disciplines of resistance, guidance and equestrian tourism, and their minimum teaching and access requirements are set out; Annex XI to Royal Decree 935/2010 of 23 July 2010 establishing the titles of Technical Sports in Sailing with fixed gear and Technical Sports in sail with free rigging, and the minimum teaching and access requirements are set; Annex IX to Royal Decree 706/2011 of 20 May, establishing the title of Sports Technician in judo and personal defence and its minimum teaching and access requirements are set out; Annex X to Royal Decree 878/2011, June 24, for which the title of Sports Technician is established in rescue and rescue and the minimum teaching and access requirements are set; Annex X to Royal Decree 911/2012 of 8 June, establishing the title of Technical Sports in fencing and its minimum teachings and access requirements are set; and Annex X to Royal Decree 669/2013 of 6 September, establishing the title of Sports Technician in athletics and setting out its minimum teachings and the access requirements; they regulate the qualification requirements for teachers of the sport teaching modules of the initial and final cycles of average grade, in private and publicly owned centers of Administrations other than education.
During the process of the implementation of the titles of sports teachings regulated to date, certain deficiencies have been detected that make it advisable to modify the aforementioned annexes, and in this way to update the profile of teachers in some of the sports teaching modules, incorporating new official university degrees.
Since this update goes beyond the assumption established in the final provision that, to this end, has been incorporated in the different titles, and which enables the holder of the Ministry of Education to make the Updating of the profiles of the teachers that imparts sports teachings to the new university degrees derived from Royal Decree 1393/2007, it has been considered appropriate to make this modification through the present royal decree.
In the process of drawing up this royal decree, the Autonomous Communities have been consulted within the Sectoral Education Conference, and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, and has issued an opinion on State School Board.
