Directive 96/18/EC, of the Committee, on 19 March, that amending various Council directives, relating to the marketing of seeds and propagating material, assumes the necessary adaptation of the internal rules which had transposed the Directive 66/401/EEC of the Council of 14 June, on the marketing of fodder plant seed; the Directive 69/208/EEC of the Council of 30 June, concerning the marketing of seed of oil and fibre plants and the Directive 70/458/EEC of the Council of 29 September, concerning the marketing of vegetable seed.


By virtue, I have: first article.


Amending the technical regulation of Control and certification of seeds of forage plants, approved by order of 1 July 1986, last amended by order of 3 November 1995, in the following terms: in the annex II, weight of the lots and samples, in the second column: maximum weight of the lot in Tm , '20' is replaced by '25' in the corresponding rows a: Lupinus albus.


Lupinus angustifolius.


Lupinus luteus.


Pisum sativum.


Vicia faba.


Vicia sativa.


Second article.


Modifies the technical regulation of Control and certification of seeds of oleaginous plants, approved by order of 1 July 1986 and last modified by order of 13 July 1992, on the following terms: in the annex 3, lots and samples, in the second column weights: maximum weight of the batch (kg) «20,000» is replaced by «25,000» in the corresponding rows a: (R-1 and R-2) certified seed of peanut.


(R-1 and R-2) certified soybean seed.


Certified seed of sunflower.


Also, '10,000' shall be replaced by «25,000"in the row corresponding to the safflower.


Third article.


Amending the technical regulation of Control and certification of seeds of textile plants, approved by order of 1 July 1986, last amended by order of 16 July 1990, in the following terms: in the Annex number 3, weights of lots and samples, in the second column: the batch (kg) maximum weight '20,000' shall be replaced by «25,000"in the row corresponding to (R-1 and R-2) certified seed of cotton.


Fourth article.


Amending the technical regulation of Control and certification of seeds of horticultural plants, approved by order of 1 July 1986, modified for the last time by order of 16 July 1990, in the following terms: in paragraph VII. I, the batch size, the content is replaced with the following: the maximum weight of the lot shall not exceed: a) for seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris and Pisum Sativum and Vicia faba: 25 tons.


(b) for seeds of size equal to or greater than the grains of wheat, except the Phaseolus vulgaris, Pisum sativum and Vicia faba: 20 tons.


(c) for seeds smaller than the grains of wheat: 10 tons.


A tolerance of up to 5 per 100 is supported in the maximum weight of the lots.


Final disposition.


This order shall enter into force the day following its publication in the "Official Gazette".
