Law No. 2013 - 09 December 28, 2013 Act No. 2013-09 December 28, 2013, extending the mandates of regional councillors, municipal councillors and rural councillors elected March 22, 2009.
STATEMENT of reasons the Senegal comes to engage a new and important administrative reform territorial and local referred to as Act III of decentralization.
To prepare calmly driving this reform, conduct the consultations necessary for its good ownership by stakeholders and integrate the new legislative and regulatory texts resulting in the legal order of our country, the postponement of the date of local elections is necessary.
The mandate of regional, municipal and rural councillors expiring March 22, 2014, it is therefore indispensable to legally extend the activity of local executives and their legislative bodies to regularly ensure the continuity of the local public service.
This Bill is designed to extend the mandate of regional councillors, municipal councillors and rural councillors to June 29, 2014.
The National Assembly adopted in its session of Thursday, December 19, 2013, the President of the Republic enacts the law whose content follows: sole Article. -The mandate of regional advisors, Councillors and rural councillors elected March 22, 2009 is extended to June 29, 2014.
This Act will be enforced as law of the State.
