RUSSIAN FEDERATION federal law on amendments to article 3 of the law of the Russian Federation "on languages of peoples of the Russian Federation" adopted by the State Duma on November 15, 2002 year approved by the Federation Council of the year November 27, 2002 Article 1. Supplement article 3 of the law of the Russian Federation from October 25, 1991 N 1807-I "on languages of peoples of the Russian Federation (RSFSR Congress of people's deputies and the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, 1991, no. 50, art. 1740; Collection of laws of the Russian Federation, 1998, N 31, art. 3804) paragraph 6 to read as follows: "6. In the Russian Federation the alphabets of the State language of the Russian Federation and the national languages of the republics are based on the graphical basis of the Cyrillic alphabet. Other graphic basis of alphabets in the State language of the Russian Federation and the national languages of the Republics may be established by federal laws.
Article 2. The President of the Russian Federation and to entrust the Government of the Russian Federation to bring its normative acts in compliance with this federal law within six months from the date of its entry into force.
Subjects of the Russian Federation to bring its laws and other regulatory legal acts in compliance with this federal law within twelve months from the date of its entry into force.
Article 3. This federal law shall enter into force on the expiry of ten days from the date of its official publication.
