Spagle Force-Federal Law of 10.01.2002 N 7-FZ > RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW On introducing additions to Article 50 of the Law of the RSFSR "On the protection of the natural environment" adopted by the State Duma 6 June 2001 Article 1. Article 50 of the RSFSR Act of 19 December 1991 "On the protection of the natural environment" (Bulletin of the Congress of People's Deputies of the Russian Federation) of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation, 1992, (457) the following additions: point 3 complete with the words ", except as provided by this Law"; to supplement paragraph 4 with the following: " 4. Importation into the Russian Federation from foreign States of irradiated nuclear fuel assemblies for the temporary storage and (or) processing of nuclear reactors is permitted in the event that a State ecological system is carried out. The analysis and other State expertise of the relevant project, as provided for in the legislation of the Russian Federation, are based on a general reduction of the risk of radiation exposure and an increase in the level of environmental safety as a result of the implementation of the project. The Russian Federation of irradiated fuel assemblies of nuclear reactors is carried out on the basis of the international treaties of the Russian Federation. The procedure for the introduction of irradiating nuclear reactor fuel assemblies into the Russian Federation is established by the Government of the Russian Federation on the basis of the basic principles of nuclear non-proliferation and environmental protection. Article 2. This Federal Law comes into force from the day its official publication. The President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation will bring their normative legal acts into line with this Federal Law.
