RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW on amendments and additions to the law of the Russian Federation regarding the status of hero of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and bearers of the "order of glory" adopted by the State Duma June 21, 2001 year approved by the Federation Council June 29, 2001 year Article 1. To the law of the Russian Federation from January 15, 1993 4301 N-I "to the status of hero of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and bearers of the" order of glory "(Gazette of the Congress of people's deputies of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation, 1993, no. 7, p. 247; collection of laws of the Russian Federation, 1996, no. 32, text 3838; 2000, no. 33, art. 3348) the following amendments and supplements: 1. paragraph 3 of article 1 shall be supplemented with the words" thereof free of telephone charges, payment of operation of these facilities and community services.
2. In article 4: in paragraph 1, the words "(spouses and children under the age of 18 years)" were replaced by the words "(spouses, parents, children under 18 years of age and children under the age of 23 years, studying in educational institutions on full-time education); the last sentence shall read as follows: "these benefits regardless of the date of death (death) hero and full Cavalier of Glory provided survivors of spouses, parents, children under the age of 18 years and children under the age of 23 years, studying in educational institutions for full-time education, and stored for specified persons.";

3. paragraph 4 of article 5 shall be amended as follows: "4. the free ownership of land plots for construction of individual houses, cottages, under horticultural and personal subsidiary farms in size, installed in accordance with the legislation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, but not less than 0.20 ha in towns and settlements of a urban type and 0.40 hectares of countryside.
4. In article 6: in paragraph 1, the words "once a year" should be replaced by the words "twice a year";
supplement paragraph 4 to read as follows: "4. free personals and free accompanying person use of rooms for officials and delegations of airports and air terminals, railway stations and stations, marine stations (ports) and Riverside stations.".
5. Article 7 shall be supplemented with the words "as well as an extraordinary free access to public museums, galleries, exhibition halls and centres and placed in these expositions, exhibitions and fairs.
6. Article 8 shall be amended with paragraph 4 as follows: "4. the children of Heroes and DBE Fame enjoyed the right to enrol in non Suvorov military and nahimovskie naval school Cadet Corps and classes, as well as priority admission to military educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education, subject to the successful delivery of entrance examinations and consistency with other requirements established for admission requirements.
Children of the deceased (dead) Heroes and bearers of the "order of Glory have a preferential right to income in State and municipal educational institutions of secondary vocational and higher vocational education and free education in them if this level of education they are receiving for the first time.".
7. In article 9, paragraph 1 shall be amended as follows: "1. A free burial (including providing a place for burial, preparation and transportation of the body to the place of burial, kremirovanie and burial) honours the deceased (deceased) hero and full Cavalier of Glory at the expense of the federal budget";
paragraph 3 shall be amended as follows: "3. In case of death (death) of a hero or full Cavalier of Glory his spouse (spouse), parents, children under the age of 18 years and children under the age of 23 years, studying in educational institutions for full-time education, paid each a lump sum of $ 20000 rubles."
Article 2. The President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation to bring its normative acts in compliance with this federal law.
Article 3. This federal law shall enter into force on January 1, 2002 year.
