RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW On the budget of the Federal Fund for Mandatory Health Insurance for 1998 adopted by the State Duma on April 23, 1999 Approved by the Federation Council on 18 May 1999 Article 1. To approve the budget of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund) for 1998 on income in the amount of 1 317.0 million. The total cost of the project is estimated at over $3 billion. The total cost of the project is 1.13 billion rubles. -Ruble. Article 2. To establish that the Fund's budget revenues for 1998 are generated from the following sources: (million) (in Russian dollars): 1 January 1998 13.4 insurance premiums 1 233.9 return of previously allocated temporary funds 3.0 income from use of temporary free funds 11.6 other income 55.1 Article 3. A total of $85.0 million in the financial resources of the Fund for 1998 was established. -Ruble. These funds shall be reserved for critical situations with the financing of compulsory health insurance programmes and shall not be free of funds. Article 5.
