Law No. 12 of 6 March 2000 approving Ordinance No. 12/1999 modification of the Government Ordinance. 20/1994 on measures to reduce seismic risk of existing constructions, published in PARLIAMENT ISSUING the OFFICIAL GAZETTE nr. 101 of 8 March 2000, the Romanian Parliament adopts this law.


The sole article approving Ordinance No. 12 of 28 January 1999 on the amendment of the Government Ordinance. 20/1994 on measures to reduce seismic risk of existing constructions, issued pursuant to art. 1 section 8 lit. the Act No.) 259/1998 on empowering the Government to issue decrees and published in the Official Gazette of Romania, part I, no. 36 of 29 January 1999, with the following change:-article I shall read as follows: Art. I. Article 6-a) the third indent of the Government Ordinance No. 20/1994 on measures to reduce seismic risk of existing constructions, approved and amended by law No. 82/1995, republished in the Official Gazette of Romania, part I, no. 150 of 15 April 1998, alter it and shall read as follows: lt; lt;-Bank loans with a repayment term of up to 20 years, to strengthen structural elements or structural system as a whole and, as appropriate, of existing construction structural elements and/or introduce additional structural elements, including undoing and redoing of installations, equipment and finishing.

This law was adopted by the Senate at its meeting on December 28, 1999, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
