Law No. 144 of 9 July 1998 for withdrawing Romania from reserve made by art. 22 of the International Convention on the Elimination of all forms of racial discrimination was published in PARLIAMENT ISSUING the OFFICIAL GAZETTE nr. 261 of 13 July 1998, the Romanian Parliament adopts this law.


The sole article Romania withdraws the reservation on recourse to the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice for the settlement of disputes, as formulated in article 13. 22 of the International Convention on the Elimination of all forms of racial discrimination, adopted at New York on 21 December 1965.
This law was adopted by the Senate at its meeting on 18 May 1998, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
