LAW No. 80 of 15 November 1993 concerning the social protection of personnel working in national defense and industry aimed at public order published in PARLIAMENT ISSUING the OFFICIAL GAZETTE NR. 267 of 18 November 1993, the Romanian Parliament adopts this law.

Article 1 for the duration of the interruption of the activity, due to a lack of orders, in plants, factories, institutions, departments or other compartments that produce military technique, civilian staff in this situation receives an allowance equal to 60% of the last basic salary or gross domestic product, monthly, indexed, from which tax was deducted, with maintenance contract.
Payment of the allowance provided for in paragraph 1. 1 is made from the Fund to pay unemployment benefit established under the provisions of law No. 1/1991 on social protection of the unemployed and their professional reintegration *).

Note *) Law No. 1/1991 was republished in the Official Gazette of Romania, part I, no. 199 of 14 august 1992, Article 2 the provisions of this law shall apply until 30 June 1994.
This law was adopted by the Chamber of deputies at its meeting on 2 November 1993, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (1) of the Constitution of Romania.
