The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article 1 (1) Legal and natural persons who hire employees with a contract of employment are obliged to guarantee in payment a monthly gross salary at least equal to the level of the minimum gross basic salary per country. ((2) The provisions of the preceding paragraph shall apply if the employee is present at work, within the framework of the programme, but may not carry out his or her activity for reasons not attributable to him. (3) In the case of the employee employed on a part-time basis, a salary equal to the level of the minimum gross basic salary per country, corresponding to the fraction of the norm, is guaranteed in payment. + Article 2 (1) The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection shall carry out the control in units of compliance with the provisions of this Law. (2) Failure to comply with art. 1 constitutes contravention and is sanctioned with a fine of between 50,000 lei and 200,000 lei. (3) The finding of contraventions and the application of sanctions shall be made by persons with control duties from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and from territorial directions for work and social protection. (4) The provisions on the finding of contraventions and the application of sanctions shall be supplemented by the provisions of 32/1968 on establishing and sanctioning contraventions. + Article 3 The disputes arising from the non-granting of the rights provided by the present law to the employees constitute labor disputes and are settled by the courts. This law was adopted by the Senate at the meeting of September 30, 1993, in compliance with the provisions of art 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution. p.
