LAW No. 15 of 25 March 1993 for Romania's accession to the European Convention on the adoption of children, done at Strasbourg on 24 April 1967 PARLIAMENT ISSUING published in MONITORUL OFICIAL NR. 67 of 31 March 1993, the Romanian Parliament adopts this law.
Article 1 Romania accede to the European Convention on the adoption of children, done at Strasbourg on 24 April 1967.
Article 2 accession to this Convention shall be made in the following book: "pursuant to article conferred on the possibilities 25 § 1 of the Convention, to submit a maximum of two reservations with regard to the provisions of part II, Romania declared that it will not apply the provisions of article 4. 7, according to which the minimum age for the adopter may not be less than 21 years of age and no longer by the 35-year-old Romanian law the minimum age being 18 years without limit. "
By virtue of the faculty provided for in article 4. 2 of the Convention, to appreciate that under the provisions of part III shall consider, Romania declares that this part will be given effect to article 6. 18, 19 and 20.
Article 3 In accordance with article 5. 26 of the Convention, the authority in Romania which may submit applications under art. 14 is the Ministry of Justice.
Art.7. 1 and 2 of the Convention, the Ministry of Justice shall notify the Secretary general of the Council of Europe of the measures taken to ensure that the Romanian legislation with the provisions of the Convention.
This law was adopted by the Chamber of deputies at its meeting on 15 March 1993, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
