PRESIDENCY of the COUNCIL of MINISTERS a proposal of law No. 15/XI explanatory memorandum the stability and growth Programme for 2010-2013 provides for the consecration of a new rate of personal income tax (IRS), amounting to 45%, for taxable persons or households that obtain an annual value of income exceeding € 150 000. This is a measure of temporary and extraordinary application that aims to promote fair and equitable sharing of the economic recovery effort and consolidation of public accounts, reinforcing the equity of the IRS. Article 2 transitional provision 45% rate provided for in the table of article 68 of the IRS code shall apply to the PRESIDENCY of the COUNCIL of MINISTERS income obtained between 2010 and 2013, inclusive. Article 3 entry into force this law shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication.
