MOTION for a RESOLUTION paragraph 80/X recognizing the importance of extradition in the field of international judicial cooperation incrementation in criminal matters; Mindful that this Convention will simplify and speed up extradition between the Member States of the community of Portuguese Language countries; So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to Parliament the following: article 1 motion for a resolution Approving the Convention on extradition between the Member States of the community of Portuguese Language countries, signed in Praia on November 23 2005, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language If published in the annex.
Article 2 Declare, for the purposes of paragraph 2 of article 9 of the Convention, that the central authority of the Portuguese Republic for the implementation of the Convention is the Attorney General of the Republic.
