PRESIDENCY of the COUNCIL of MINISTERS 1 resolution No. 126/X whereas the Portuguese Republic is member of the World Customs Organization; Bearing in mind that the Convention establishing a Customs Cooperation Council, 1950, does not provide for the possibility of customs and economic unions are part of the said Convention; Whereas the approval of amendments to the Convention establishing a Customs Cooperation Council has a positive impact in the context of strengthening the areas of intervention of the European Community; Given that article XX of the Convention establishing a Customs Cooperation Council, signed in Brussels on 15 December 1950, provides for the possibility of the Customs Cooperation Council to recommend amendments to the Convention. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: to approve the recommendation of the Customs Cooperation Council on the Amendment of the Convention establishing a Customs Cooperation Council, of 30 June 2007, the text of which, in the authenticated version in the French language and its translation to Portuguese language If published in the annex.
